Title: Bowl of the Wife Of Kit Carson

1/4cCooked chicken or turkey mea
1/4cRice; cooked
1cRich chicken broth
1/4cGarbanzo beans; cooked
1pnLeaf oregano
1/4 Chipotle pepper; chopped
1/4 Avocado; sliced
1/4cMonterey jack or muenster ch

Recipe by: Dudley Cable-Larche of The Fort, near Denver, CO Preparation Time: 0:10 Heat broth to boiling and add chicken (or turkey), garbanzos, chipotle pepper, rice and oregano. Serve in large individual bowls, and add cheese pieces and avocado just prior to serving.

CHEF'S NOTE: The proper name of this soup is Caldo Tlalpeno. The chipotle pepper called for is a special smoked chile pepper, properly calle he chile chipotle adobado, available from specialty shelves in the grocery store in cans.
